SpaceX has achieved a significant manufacturing milestone by producing its 10 millionth Starlink user terminal kit. The accomplishment was celebrated at the company's facilities in Hawthorne, California, and Bastrop, Texas.
The milestone was initially highlighted in a now-deleted LinkedIn post by Sujay Soman, a Senior Facilities Engineer at SpaceX.
Dramatic Production Acceleration
Soman's post revealed a striking acceleration in production speed: while the first 5 million Starlink kits took nearly four years to build, SpaceX manufactured the next 5 million kits in just 11 months. This rapid scale-up underscores the company's intensified efforts and formidable manufacturing capabilities in deploying its global satellite internet system.
To mark the occasion, Soman shared photos of the Bastrop Machine Maintenance and Facilities team.
"Today, Starlink Product teams across our Hawthorne and Bastrop sites produced the 10th Million Starlink Kit!" Soman wrote. "It took almost 4 years to build our first 5 million kits, and we doubled that in about 11 months. Monumental accomplishment!"

Enabling Global Connectivity
Each Starlink kit includes the user dish and supporting hardware necessary to connect to SpaceX's rapidly expanding constellation of over 6,000 low-Earth orbit satellites. This network currently provides high-speed internet service to over 6 million customers worldwide – a notable increase from the 5 million users reported just a few months prior, in February 2025.
SpaceX has not yet detailed its next specific production targets. However, reaching the 10-million-kit milestone signals the company's readiness and capacity for further significant scaling. Known for its efficient and cost-effective manufacturing prowess under Elon Musk's leadership, SpaceX is widely expected to achieve additional Starlink production milestones in the near future.
